John Purtee, 76, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away June 6, 2018 in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, July 11, 1941, a son of the late Lester Purtee and Virginia Kimble Purtee. John was a member of the Sunshine United Methodist Church, South Shore, Kentucky, International Artist and a Kentucky Colonel.

Surviving are his wife, Georgia Dodd Purtee to whom he married, May 29, 1966 and many loving friends.

Graveside services will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, June 9, 2018 at South Webster Cemetery with Rev. Bob Sweeney, officiating.
