John C. Lowder Sr., 86 of Peebles, Ohio left this world to be with Jesus- his Lord and Savior on May 14, 2021. John was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, April 26, 1935, a son of the late Richard Lowder and Clara Meyers Lowder.

Preceded in death besides his parents are three brothers, Challis Lowder, Richard Lowder and Grant Lowder, five sisters, Marie Cunningham, Jewel Sells, Helen Lowder, Sara Ann Bennett and Gail Dement.

Surviving are his wife, Marion Ellen Hopson Lowder, two sons, John (Julie) Lowder Jr. of Corbin, KY, Richard Lowder of Hilsboro, Ohio, one daughter, Ellen (Mike) Mueller of Aurora, IL, six grandchildren, Sarah Cain, John Lowder III, Rachel Li, Elias Watts, Michael Mueller and Israel Mueller.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY with Brother John Lowder Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Granny Thomas Cemetery, Garrison, KY. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Monday. Due to Covid-19 restrictions face coverings and social distancing are recommended.
