Jenny Victorie Denise Dupont Potter Thompson, 96 of Greenup, KY., went to be with her Heavenly Father, Friday, April 15, 2016 at her daughters home with her family by her side. She was born February 22, 1920 in Liege, Belgium a daughter of the late Emile Dupont and Sidonie Gerady Dupont. During World War II she worked for the American Red Cross in Belgium, worked at the General Hospital in Portsmouth, Ohio, a volunteer at the DePaul Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, where she lived with her husband, James E. Thompson for 20 years until they returned to Kentucky in 2004. She loved to laugh and to make others laugh. She was a Homemaker, member of the Church of Christ for over 60 years, enjoyed knitting, gardening, canning, stripping tobacco and reading,  but most of all she enjoyed her family, she made their holidays special and encouraged them to do well, she will be missed so much. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James H. Potter and her second husband, James Thompson, a son Terry Potter, two brothers, Emile and Joseph Dupont, one sister, Eva Dupont and one son in law, Walter (Jake) Felty. Surviving are her two sons Timmy (Diane) Potter of South Shore, KY., and Michael Potter of Ohio, two daughters, Jackie Felty of Greenup, KY., and Denise (Fred) Bell of Portsmouth, OH., 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Brother Jack Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Plum Grove Cemetery in Greenup, KY. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home Monday, April 18, 2016 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and from 10 A.M. until the funeral hour on Tuesday. The family would like to thank Dr. Kimberly Baldock and her staff, Community Hospice Nurses and staff and Mag Kilburn (who was her caregiver) for all of their wonderful care and love they showed throughout this difficult time.
