Jay Edward (Eddie) Bailey, 54, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018 peacefully at his home with his friends by his side. He was born June 2, 1964 in Ann Arbor Michigan, he was a true wolverine fan.

Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Dorothy Bailey, two brothers, James Thomas Bailey and Thomas Ruben Bailey. Eddie worked at Portsmouth Feed and Supply for over 25 years, where he loved his customers, as they did him, as the years passed they became family.

He is survived by Michelle Trowbridge who was his caregiver in his final days, one daughter, Courtney Bailey of Raleigh, NC, Shayne Bailey of Versailles, KY, one sister, Kathy Lockert of Portsmouth, Ohio, six brothers, Darrell Bailey, Richard Bailey both of Michigan, Ronald Bailey of Belmont, Ohio, Michael Bailey of Michigan, Daniel McIntyre Sr of Portsmouth, Ohio and Jack Bailey of Portsmouth, Ohio, John and Phyllis Rice family, Jerry and Martha Spriggs family, Chelsea Rice, Noah Bentley and many friends and family.

The family would like to thank SOMC Hospice and the Home Health Care and Smith Drugs.

Funeral services will be held 8 P.M. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2018 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with Brother Evan Fisher, officiating. Friends may call at the Funeral home from 6 till 8 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will follow at a later date.
