Janet Sue Craycraft Deems, 78, of Greenup, KY., went to be with her Lord Sunday, October 26, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Greenup, KY., on August 8, 1947, a daughter of the late Stanley and Ethel Allen Craycraft.

She was a member of the Globe Church of Christ and retired from the Greenup County School System.

Janet "Sue", along with her parents, is preceded in death by her husband Bert Nile Deems; four siblings, Donald Craycraft, Wavel Engle, Garnet Craycraft, and Donna Bass.

Left behind to cherish her memory are four sons, Kevin Deems, Ronald (Elsa) Deems, Chuck (Trish) Deems, all of Dickson, TN, and Mark Deems of Naples, FL; one daughter, Shannon (Justin) Middleton of Greenup, KY; eleven grandchildren, Zachery Deems, Amber Deems, Veronica Deems, Brandi Deems, Rylee Deems, Samantha Deems, Ella Deems, Jamarcus Deems, Lenile Deems, Kenzell Deems and Lyla Middleton; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Diann Potter; two brother, Harold (Teresa) Craycraft and Randy (Julie) Craycraft; along with several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Bernie Parsons and Keith Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the funeral home from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and from 10 A.M. until the funeral hour on Friday.
