James Edward Porter, 65, of South Portsmouth, Kentucky passed away Aug. 31, 2021 in Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born in Lewis County, Kentucky, April 8, 1956, son of Dolly Clark Porter and the late James Edward Porter.

Preceded in death besides his father are three brothers, Rick Porter, Ronald Porter and Donald Porter.

Surviving are his wife, Regina Hillard Porter, children, Amanda Porter, Richard Church, James Matthew Porter of South Portsmouth, KY, Jonie Porter of West Portsmouth, Ohio, brother, Terry Porter of South Shore, KY, sisters, Garnett Rickett of South Portsmouth, Susie Porter of Quincy, KY, Peggy Porter of South Portsmouth, KY, grandchildren, Kinley Church, RJ Church, Madison Church, Gracie Larcher, Braden Larcher, Jacob Porter and Michael Allen Porter and a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021 at the Granny Thomas Cemetery in Garrison, Kentucky with Rev. Kenneth W. Potter, officiating.
