Obituary

Jack C Grubb, 88, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away July 1, 2013 in South Shore Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born Oct. 6, 1924 in Huntington, West Virginia, a son of the late Harry and Virgie Overby Grubb. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a life time member of the VFW. He was a retired supervisor from ACF Industries. Proceeded in death by one sister, Alma Hamilton and one brother, John William Grubb. Surviving are his wife of 60 years Dolores Owens Grubb, a daughter, Jacquie "Edgar" Ferguson of Huntington, West Virginia, one son, Charles "Sherry" Grubb of South Shore, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Laura Ferguson of Huntington, West Virginia, Jeremy Grubb of South Shore, Kentucky, Rebecca " Philip" Konopka of Vanceburg, Kentucky, three brothers, James "Glema" Grubb and Samuel Grubb both of Cannonsburg,  Kentucky, Tommy Grubb of Jonesboro, Arkansas, three sisters, Lucille Neel, Maxine Smith and Lydia "Paul" Winters all of Huntington, West Virginia. Funeral services 12 P.M. Friday July 5, 2013 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with David Boggs, officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast, Grayson, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home Friday July 5, 2013 from 10 A.M. till the funeral hour at 12 Noon. Military graveside services by American Legion Post #93, Kenova, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Maloneton Volunteer Fire Department, South Shore, Kentucky.
