Ira James Roberts Jr., 74, of South Shore, Kentucky went to be with his Lord on Sept. 23, 2017. He was born in Greenup County, Kentucky, Aug. 2, 1943, a son of the late Ira J. Roberts Sr. and Bertha Stephens Roberts. Ira was a Deacon at the Sandhill Church of Christ, South Shore, Kentucky, Pipefitter out of Pipefitters Local 577, Portsmouth, Ohio.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Preston Roberts, Donald Roberts, one sister, Irelene Hughes.

Surviving are one son, Ira J.( Danielle) Roberts III of Greenup, Kentucky, one daughter, Darlene (Nick) Baker of West Portsmouth, Ohio, one brother, Herman Roberts of Lloyd, Kentucky, two sisters, Barbara Kelly of Carlinville, Ill, Palistine Welty of Butler, Ohio, two grandsons, Josh and Jacob Baker.

Funeral Services will be held 10 A.M. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 at the Sandhill Church of Christ with Pastor Donald Seevers, officiating. Burial will follow in Collier Memorial Gardens, South Portsmouth, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 till 8 P.M. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 and one hour before service at the Church on Thursday.
