Howard Wheeler Jr., 73, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away, March 14, 2022 in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born in Portsmouth, July 15, 1948, a son of the late Howard Wheeler Sr. and Welly Ruth Simpson Wheeler. Howard was a U.S Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War.

Preceded in death besides his parents are one sister, Alice Potts.

Surviving are his wife, Elissa Heatherly Wheeler, two sons, Howard B. (Traci) Wheeler of Zanesfield, Ohio, Robert Seth (Alison Hanson) Wheeler of Portsmouth, Ohio, two sisters, Tana Lee Jones of Virginia and Emma Lou Tracy of Portsmouth, Ohio, seven grandchildren, Adam Wheeler, Delaney Wheeler, Lauren Wheeler, Robert Wheeler Jr., Jacob Wheeler, Brandon Wheeler and Howard Ethan Wheeler and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. Kenneth W. Potter, officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Franklin Furnace, Ohio, Military graveside services by the James Dickey American Legion Post 23, Portsmouth, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
