Helen Marie Madden, 65 of Ashland, Kentucky passed away Jan. 28, 2015 in St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. She was born in Medina, Ohio, Dec. 22, 1949, a daughter of the late James Sweeney and Helen Hamilton Sweeney, a member of the Buffalo Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Buffalo, West Virginia. She was a licensed Practical Nurse and Homemaker. Surviving are two sons, Clayton Madden III of Garrison, Kentucky, Jason Madden of Ashland, Kentucky, one daughter, Rachel Whitt of Ashland, Kentucky, twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren, one brother, Robert Sweeney of Medina, Ohio. Preceded in death her husband, Clayton Madden Jr, Aug. 30, 1995, one son, Scott Madden, one brother, Roger Sweeney. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at the Buffalo Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Buffalo, West Virginia with Pastor Tim Jayne, officiating. Burial will follow in Madden Cemetery, Garrison, Kentucky.
