Gladys Smith, 95, of Greenup, KY, went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 29, 2026, at ST Claire UK Hospital in Morehead, KY. She was born in Greenup, KY, on November 12, 1930, a daughter of the late George and Verdie Sturgill Stephens.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Glen Smith, who passed away in 1993; one son, Odith Smith; one brother, Merle Stephens; six sisters, Hillis Bolden, Mabel Bolden, Annie Evans, Francis Smith, Jenny Reed, and Georgia Smith; and one great-grandchild, Eli.

Left behind to cherish her memory are three grandchildren, Odith (Ashley Horsley) Smith II of Quincy, KY, Chasitity (Rock) Clemons of Vanceburg, KY, and Nekota (Mike McQuinn) Sword of South Portsmouth, KY; ten great-grandchildren, Tesla, Tatum, Ashton, Trey, Ariel, Natasha, Briana, Drew, Austin, and Caroline; nine great-great-grandchildren, Stella, Saige, Leland, Sawyer, Kashus, Wesson, Robert, Rodney, and Vada; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Smith; along with several other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will sadly miss her.

The family would like to invite family and friends to mourn her loss and celebrate her life at 1 P.M. on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, with Rodney Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery in Greenup, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
