June 10, 1938 – June 24, 2023
Gladys "Lucille" Stapleton, 85 of Bellville, Ohio accepted her heavenly reward on June 24th, 2023.
Lucille was born to Clarence and Anna (Bailey) Brown in Lloyd, Kentucky on June 10th, 1938.
She was a wonderful homemaker, and enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and The Lord with all her heart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
She was the oldest living sibling of her family, being preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years (Jasper "Junior" Stapleton); her mother and her father, her daughter Mary Marlene Dean-Rose; and daughter-in-law Lorrie Ann (Lewis) Stapleton; three brothers and two sisters: Lonnie, William, Carl, Carol, and Beatrice.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her children: Alice Ann Carter, Junior Dale Stapleton, Terri Sue Stapleton, Clarence Earl (Jodi) Stapleton and Harold Delane Stapleton; 15 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Granddaughters; her surviving siblings: Edgar, Roger, Betty, Shirley, and Neva; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Pastor Richard Hite, officiating. Burial will follow in Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 till 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
