Gladys Irene Fairchild, 92 of Garrison, Kentucky passed away, Aug. 27, 2022 in SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born in Lewis County, Kentucky, Sept. 10, 1929, a daughter of the late Amos Raymond Bevens and Gladys Copper.

Preceded in death besides her parents are one brother, Earl Raymond Bevens, two sisters, Garnet Marie Bevens and Omah Dee Bevens.

Surviving are two sons, George Ray Fairchild of Freemont, Ohio and Lawrence Wayne Bevens of Vanceburg, Kentucky, one brother, Amos John Bevens of Garrison, Kentucky, sisters, Sophia Dugan of Garrison, Kentucky and Rosemary Applegate of Vanceburg, Kentucky, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews who loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Rick Musser, officiating. Burial will follow in the Skidmore Cemetery, Garrison, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
