Gladys Lucille (Adkins) Anderson White, 91, of Maysville, KY, formerly of Tollesboro and Greenup County, KY, died Wednesday morning , October 7, 2015 at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Gladys was born August 17, 1924, in Greenup County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late James Daniel and Myrtle Louise (Lawson) Adkins. She spent most of her life on the family farm on Sheep Hollow, Shultz Creek Road, Greenup, KY. Before her marriage to Alva Anderson, She was an employee of Selby Shoe Factory in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Alva R. Anderson, who died February 1, 1981, and  Don White. Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by sisters, Edna Hardin Wroten, Carrie Donaldson Nagel, Goldie Timberlake, brothers, Oscar Adkins, Elmer Adkins, and infant siblings, Naomi and Willie Vernon Adkins. Gladys is survived by three children: Larry R. (Dessie) Anderson of Louisville, KY, Elva K. (Paul Robinette) Anderson James of Lafayette, IN, and Terry J. (Sarah) Anderson of Maysville, KY. Grandchildren: Steven R. (Jennifer) Anderson, Rebecca D. (Aaron) Robertson, Matthew J. Anderson, Amy B. (Chris) Holser, Katherine M. (Dmitry) Kharin, Derak J. James, David J. James, Chris Robinette, Josh Robinette, Stephen L. (Kristy Gallogly) Barker, and Amanda A. Craig. Great-Grandchildren: Ryan J. Anderson, Jason S. Anderson, Bradley A. Robertson, Andrew C. Robertson, Ashley D. Robertson, Jacob L. Anderson, Nathan M. Anderson, Joseph W. Anderson, Clara Sunshine Anderson, Austin C. Hosler, Hannah E. Hosler, John David Craig, Kimber M. Barker, Draiden Robinette, and Kosten Robinette. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Saturday,  Oct. 10, 2015 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, with, Rev. Bob Sweeney, officiating. Burial will follow in Nippert Cemetery (old Bennett's Chapel Cemetery), South Shore, KY. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 11 A.M. till the funeral hour at 1 P.M. on Saturday.
