Geraldine Hatfield Payne, 92, a former South Shore, Kentucky resident passed into her everlasting life surrounded by her loving family in Gary, Texas, May 16, 2022. She was born in Logan, West Virginia Jan. 3, 1930, a daughter of the late George Hatfield and Myrtle Triplett McCann.

Preceded in death besides her parents are her husband, Roy Lenard Payne, son, Gregory Dale Payne, great grandsons, Cru Marlowe and Trevor Dylon Anderson, one brother, Floyd Noe.

Surviving are one daughter, Jennifer Payne Stephens of Gary, Texas, granddaughters, Erin Marlowe (KirK) Cedotal of Gary, Texas, leslie Marlowe of Tyler, Texas, grandsons, Keith Marlowe of Gilmer, Texas, Heath Marlowe of Longview, Texas, Michael (Denise) Marlowe of Marshall, Texas, great grandchildren, Destiny, Tristan, Jase, Lily and Jordan and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. Raymond Lewis, officiating. Burial will be the following day at 11 a.m. in Springhill Cemetery, Huntington, West Virginia. Friends may call from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Monday.
