Gerald D. Pennington, 63, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away July 16, 2014 in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio Sept. 18, 1950, a son of the late Clarence Pennington and Ernestine Ison Pennington. Preceded in death by two sisters, Sally Hunt and Linda Barney. Surviving are two daughters, Rhonda "Phil" Dowdy of South Shore, Kentucky, Kelley "Chris" McCoy of Wheelersburg, Ohio, five grandchildren, TJ "Megan" Nichols, Angel Nichols, Christopher Grubb, Alex McCoy and Caleb McCoy, two sisters, Debbie "Ken" Ewing, Wanda "Bob" Rothwell both of Columbus, Ohio, three brothers, Dale "Pat" Pennington of Kissimmee, Florida, Randy "Tammy" Harlow of Garrison, Kentucky and Danny Ramey of Columbus, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Friday, July 18, 2014 at the South Shore Old Regular Baptist Church, 721 Main Street, South Shore, Kentucky with, Bill Riggs, officiating. Burial will follow in Long Cemetery, Greenup, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Church from 12 Noon till the Funeral hour at 1 P.M. on Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky.
