Garnet Louise Allen-Roe, 89 of South Shore, Kentucky passed away Dec. 31, 2021 in SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born in Greenup County, Kentucky, June 25, 1932, a daughter of the late John Simpson Allen and Ellen Bethany Fraley. Garnet spent most of her life in Greenup County, she was a housewife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Crowell Roe to whom she married June 3, 1950, one daughter, Rebekah Rachel Lumpkins, son, Herbert Eugene Roe Sr.

Surviving are two daughters, Helen Louise Roe of Williston, Florida, Naomi Hannah Ingle of South Shore, Kentucky, three sisters, Lucille Bishop of PA, Bessie Roe of South Shore, KY and Essie Elliot of Ohio, sixteen grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Todd Munson, officiating. Burial will follow in the Roe Family Cemetery, South Shore. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. till the service hour at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
