Obituary

Everett Raymond Barker, 84, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with his Lord, Jan. 13, 2015 in Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Ray was born in Oldtown, Kentucky, March 28, 1930, a son of the late Charles Barker and Minnie Penix Barker. He was a Korean War Veteran and attended the Old Regular Baptist Churches. Survivng are four step sons, Dwain Potter, David "Heather" Potter, Kevin Potter and Darrell "Ragen" Potter all of South Shore, Kentucky, two step daughters, Kathy "Terry" Harris of Greenwood, Indiana, Sandra "Carl" Wilburn of Chandler, Arizona, one brother, Carl "Lillian"  Barker of Raceland, Kentucky, three sisters, June "Everett" Hall of South Shore, Kentucky, Janet Tackett  and Allene "Roger" Miller both of Flatwoods, Kentucky, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Barker, March 25, 2013, four brothers, Clifford, Richard, Delmar and James Barker. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Elders, Gary Blevins, Chester Allen and Paul Boggs, officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery, Warnock, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 P.M. till 8 P.M. on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 and from 9 A.M. till the funeral hour on Saturday. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Warnock Cemetery fund, First and Peoples Bank. Military graveside services will be conducted by the James Dickey American Legion Post #23 of Portsmouth, Ohio. Online condolences can be left for the family at robersonfuneral.com
