Emerson Curtis, 81 of Firebrick, Kentucky went to be with his Lord Sunday, February 8, 2015 in the Hospice Care Center in Maysville, Kentucky. He was born January 3, 1934 in Sharkey, Kentucky, a son of the late Hobart Curtis and Martha Jane Markwell-Curtis. He was an Army Veteran and retired from North American Refractory in South Shore, Kentucky.
Surviving are his wife, Marlene Brown-Curtis to whom he married April 2, 1955; two daughters Fonda (Mike) Lewis of Portsmouth, Ohio and Dreama (Jeff) Flowers of Quincy, Kentucky; one son Tim (Jonna) Curtis of Firebrick, Kentucky; seven grandchildren Sarah (Mike) Bean, Kevin (Marita) Cooper, Philip Lewis, Amber Bryant, Seth (Tricia) Lewis, Jordan Curtis and Brad Curtis as well as seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers Elbert, Oral and Elwood Curtis and two sisters Thelma Baker and Monnie Hall.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. Mike Bean officiating. Burial will be in Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, Kentucky.
Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6-8 pm on Wednesday and from 9 am until the funeral hour Thursday.
