Earl Wayne Gilbert, 72, of Oldtown, Ky., passed away January 4, 2014 at his residence in Oldtown, Ky., He was born February 21, 1941 a son of the late Earl W. Gilbert and Lois Fay Wells Gilbert. Earl was a Korean War U.S. Army Veteran and a retired Logger. Preceded in death by one sister Mary Jane Rice and one step son Wesley Kilburn. Surviving are his three daughters Amanda Gilbert of Greenup, Ky., Rhonda (Bill) Stevens of Boyd County, Ky., Cynthia Ludy of Bonney Lake, Washington and one son David Gilbert of Flatwoods, Ky., two step daughters Janice (Chris) Johnson of Greenup, Ky., Connie (Paul) Hunt of South Shore, Ky., also six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 2 P.M. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the South Shore Old Regular Baptist Church in South Shore, Ky., with Rev. Charles Mallory, officiating. Burial will follow at Gilbert Cemetery in Oldtown, Ky. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 11 A.M. till 2 P.M.
