Dorothy Jane (Harless) Pistole, 64

Dorothy Jane (Harless) Pistole, 64, of Portsmouth, died Saturday, June 21, 2025, at SOMC Hospice. She was born February 18, 1961, to the late Delmar Harless and Delie (Spears) Clark, who survives.  Along with her father, she is preceded in death by infant twin sons, Richard and Ronald Blankenship; her stepfather, William Seagraves; a son-in-law, Lee Bloomfield; 2 brothers, Lloyd Clark and Dale Clark; and a sister, Brenda Ferguson.

Dorothy spent her life taking care of others, not only as a mother and grandmother, but also as a home health aide, a job she truly loved.  In recent years, especially, she enjoyed watching classic television.

She is survived by her 3 children, Christina Blankenship of Portsmouth, OH, Amanda Bloomfield of South Shore, KY, and Clifford (Amanda) Blankenship of West Hamlin, WV; her partner of 10 years, Todd Defoe; 2 brothers, Charles Harless and Kenneth Harless; 3 sisters,  Linda (Frank) Moore, Kathy (Bobby) Smith, and Jackie Pullen; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a best friend, Kim Lucas; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY with Brother Eddie Spears officiating. Burial will follow at Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral.
