David Moody, 69 of South Shore, Kentucky passed away Aug. 13, 2022 in the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born in West Lafayette, Ohio, June 2, 1953, a son of the late Paul and Twilva Ross Moody. David was a ham radio enthusiast, Star Trek fanatic, loved Classical music and a avid antique collector, most supportive and patient husband and father.

Preceded in death besides his parents are one brother, Edward Moody.

Surviving are his wife, Maria Luz Bancal Moody, children, Ella Pennington of Frankfort, Kentucky, James (Sherrie) Pennington of Lake County, Florida, Shella Pennington of South Shore, Kentucky, John Moody of Gainesville, Georgia and Diane (Adam) Horne of Redondo Beach, California, grandchildren, Josiah Pennington, Lily Marshall, Zavier Pennington, Zander Pennington, Luke Horne and Isabella Pennington.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. Kenneth W. Potter, officiating. Burial will follow on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022 at the Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral Home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
