David Woodrow Long, 54, of Portsmouth, Ohio, left this world on December 15, 2023. David was born on February 1, 1969, in Portsmouth Ohio to the late Thomas Alvin and Darwina Lois Long.

David was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jeffrey Long.

David is survived by one daughter, Brittany Brown (husband, Tommy), of Dayton, Ohio, and three grandchildren, Alyssa Brown, Paisley Long, and Levi Brown of Dayton, Ohio. David is also survived by four siblings: his sister Lois Curry (husband, Jack) of Mascot, Tennessee; his sister Regina Reitz (husband, Troy) of Miramar, FL; his sister Pam Bryant (husband, Darren) of Grayson, KY; and his brother Oscar (Lee) Long of Jefferson City, TN; along with many nieces and nephews.

David was a proud father and grandfather and loved spending time with his daughter and her family along with his dog Bella. He also enjoyed walking, fishing, and listening to music. David was loved and will be missed by many.

Funeral services for David Woodrow Long will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Brother Grant Sammons officiating. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, South Shore, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday until service time.
