Darrell E. Stewart, 84, of South Shore, KY., passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. He was born in Fullerton, KY., January 15, 1939 a son of the late Orville and Norma Wheeler Stewart.

He retired from North American Refractories in South Shore, KY., after many years of service.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Anna Louise Pack Stewart of 46 years before her passing in 2008; one sister, Glenda Sue Stewart; two brothers, Dale Stewart and Clarence Stewart.

Left behind to cherish his memory are one daughter, Cathy (Steve) Penix of West Portsmouth, OH; two sons, Darin (Louise) Stewart of Jacksonville, NC., and Terry (Becky) Stewart of South Shore, KY; two brothers, Talmadge Stewart and Michael Stewart; four sisters, Bernetta Horsley, Linda Whisman, Pam Ash and Arlene Pierce; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Ryan Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M.
