Darlene Greene 89, of Portsmouth, Ohio, a former South Shore, Kentucky resident, passed away September 2, 2015 in Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky, February 21, 1926 to the late Ellis and Dugie Timberlake Bryant. Darlene is preceded in death by her late husband Harry S Greene Sr., Nov. 3, 1993, three sons, Basil Greene, Ellis Greene and Timothy Greene, one grandson, Douglas Messer, Five brothers, Tom, John, Lester, Manuel, and Roy Bryant, two sisters, Mary and Cleo Bryant. Darlene is survived by two sons, Harry s Greene Jr of Margate, Florida, Bobby R Greene of South Webster, Ohio, two daughters, Renee Greene of Shadyside, Ohio, Teresa Messer of South Webster, Ohio and daughter in Law, Connie Greene of Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Pastor John Baker, officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Franklin Furnace, Ohio. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 and from 11 a.m. till the funeral hour on Saturday.
