Danny J. Howerton, 66, of South Shore, Kentucky, went to be with his lord Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014 in Southern Ohio Medical Center In Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born July 15, 1947 in South Portsmouth, Kentucky, a son of the late Clarence "Ed" Howerton and Virgie Marie Evans Howerton, attended Hilltop Lighthouse Church in South Portsmouth, Kentucky. Preceded in death by two brothers, James Lee Howerton and Lowell Robert Howerton. Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Barrett Howerton, three daughter, Teresa Holbrook of Wurtland, Kentucky, Gwen "Brian" McCoy and Stephanie Jones both of South Shore, Kentucky, one sister, Patricia Sue "Carl" Wells of St. Paul, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Bethany Stephenson, Breann Holbrook, Jacob Jones, Kennedy McCoy and Brooklyn Bailey, two great grandchildren, Kirra Stephenson and Kaelyn Stephenson. Funeral services 11 A.M. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 at the Hilltop Lighthouse Church, Laughlin Road, South Portsmouth, Kentucky with Pastor, Carl Wells, officiating. Burial in Siloam Cemetery, South Shore, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Hilltop Lighthouse Church in South Portsmouth, Kentucky from 6 P.M. till 8 P.M.
