Clyde Donald Newsome, 72, of South Shore, KY., passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods, KY. He was born October 3, 1944 in Greenup, KY., a son of the late Leslie Newsome and Stella Hall Newsome. Clyde was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator. Preceded in death besides his parents are his wife Josephine Newsome, two brothers Harold Newsome and Leslie Newsome JR., two sisters Nanna Jewell Newsome and Edith Lyons. Surviving are one daughter Melanie Sue Boggs, one son Donnie (Christy) Newsome, one brother Glenn (Rachel) Newsome all of South Shore, KY., two sisters Mareda Zempter of Sciotoville OH., and Barbara (Pete) Rowe of Franklin, TN. Clyde is also survived by six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many other family and friends who will sadly miss him. Graveside Services will be held 1 P.M. Tuesday January 3, 2017 at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY., with pastor Bernie Parsons officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY.
