Charles Sowards, 68, of South Shore, KY., passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Kings Daughter Medical Center in Ashland, KY. He was born in South Shore, KY., May 16, 1957, a son of the late Charles V. and Wilma Carter Sowards.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Carrie Dawn Sowards; three brothers, John Sowards, Robert Sowards, and Terry Sowards; three sisters, Mary Bentley, Minnie Sowards, and Rita Sowards.

Left behind to cherish his memory are one daughter, Sherrie (Chris) Ferguson; one son, Charles (Natoshia) Sowards; three sisters, Sue (Lonnie) Meadows, Alice (Byron) Butler and Rosalie Meadows; one brother, Lester Sowards; ten grandchildren, Katlyn, Megan, Winfred III, Charles III, Kaleb, Alexandria, Whitney, Kelsey, Chloe and Aubrey; nine great-grandkid's and several other nieces, nephews, family and friends who will sadly miss him.

A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, July 19, 2025, for immediate family and friends at his home, 2778 Plum Fork Road, South Shore, KY., 41175
