Charles Thomas Blair, 92, of South Shore, Kentucky, died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at home under the care of Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on May 30, 1921, to the late Thomas Blair and Rose (Daniels) Blair.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Pauline (Alexander) Blair in May 2011 after 65 years of marriage also two sisters Rosamund Blair and Anna Louise Blair.
Charles was retired from Norfolk and Western Railroad, and a Kentucky Colonel.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra (Thomas) O'Brien of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, and Renea L. Blair of South Shore, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Rusty) Fisher of The Woodlands, Texas, Michael (Tamy) O'Brien of Pearland, Texas, Craig Minton of Southport, North Carolina, and Hope Minton of South Portsmouth, Kentucky; eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Funeral Services will be 2 P.M. Friday, March 28, 2014 at South Shore Old Regular Baptist Church 721 Main Street South Shore, Ky., 41175, with Rev. Steve Alexander, officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Olive Hill, Ky. Friends may call at the Church on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 6 P.M. till 8 P.M. and from 1 P.M. till the funeral hour on Friday. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky.
