Charles "Rick" Adkins, 70, of South Shore, KY., went to be with his Lord Monday, July 7, 2025, at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Portsmouth, OH., September 11, 1954, a son of Ellen Adkins Gibson and the late Burl Adkins.

Along with his father, he is preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Adkins.

Left behind to cherish his memory are two daughters, Crystal Murrell and Stephanie (David) Moore; two sons, Ricky (Shay) Adkins and Brandon Meade; two sisters, Janet (Terry) Breech and Stella (Clayton) Oliver; twelve grandchildren, Alexus, Damian, Sarenity, Felicity, Mariah, Preston, Robert, Kayden, Kevin, Aubree, Wayne and Adley; three great-grandchildren, Amarah, Jasir, Bellamy and several other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Paul Staton officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
