Carolyn Sue Wright Scaggs, 79, of Garrison, KY., went to be with her Lord Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH. She was born in Garrison, KY., a daughter of the late R.B. and Mary Rowe Wright.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Lonnie Wright, and one brother-in-law, Jack Gilbert SR.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Jerry Edward Scaggs Sr., three sons, Jerry Edward Scaggs Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, FL., Michael Dewayne Scaggs of Saint Pete, FL., and Thomas Dean (Robin) Scaggs Sr. of Jackson, OH; four sisters, Wanda (Maurice) Brown of Garrison, KY., Linda (Donnie) Brown of Wallingford, KY., Brenda Gilbert of Garrison, KY., and Lisa (Chris) Weddington of Garrison, KY; one brother, Donnie (Rhonda) Wright of Quincy, KY; two grandchildren, Thomas Dean (Corey) Scaggs JR. and Taylor Marie (Bradley) Fulton; 3 great-grandchildren, Carter, Griffin and Daisy; along with several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Heaven gained a beautiful soul as Carolyn, a devoted follower of Christ, entered her eternal home in the arms of her Savior.

Graveside services will be 2 P.M. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Soldier Cemetery in Garrison, KY. Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., are caring for arrangements.
