Carl Wayne Lybrook, 89, of South Portsmouth, KY passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his Residence. He was born April 16, 1927 in Fullerton, KY., a son of the late Charles and Della Mowery Lybrook. He was of the Christian faith, a United States Army Veteran, and retired from Norfolk & Western Railroad in Portsmouth, OH. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and friends. Besides his parents Carl is preceded in death by two sons Bryant H. Lybrook and Roger Dale Lybrook, also six brothers and five sisters. Surviving are his wife of 66 years Betty Hamilton Lybrook, one son Paul Wayne (Melinda) Lybrook of Fairdale, KY., one daughter Donna (Rick) Lowe of South Shore, KY., five grandchildren Ricky Lowe of Raleigh, NC., Brooke Lambert, of Lloyd, KY., Paige Remy, Taylor Lybrook, and Grant Lybrook all of Waverly, OH., four great grandchildren Julianna Lowe, Ava James Lowe, Jaden Lambert and Jayla Lambert. Funeral Services will be 1 P.M. Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Rev. Bob Sweeney officiating. Burial will follow at MT Zion Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and from 9 A.M. until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
