Brenda F. Smith, 73, of South Shore, KY., passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. She was born in Portsmouth, OH., September 16, 1949 a daughter of the late Charles and Ailene Boggs Smith.

She was an administrative assistant at Shawnee State University where she retired with over 20 years of service.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Lee Smith and Jeff Smith.

Left behind to cherish her memory are one sister, Donna Smith of South Shore, KY; two sister-in-laws, Dixie Smith of Auburn Hills, MI., and Carlena Smith; two nieces, Sabrina (David) Koester of Louisville, KY., and Tabatha (Todd) Selvage of Raceland, KY; two great-nephews, Jonah Kester and Liam Selvage; two best friends, David Hunt and Shelly. Along with several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

A Memorial Service will be held 7 P.M. Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Roberson in South Shore, KY., with Pastor Dale Collinsworth officiating. The family will have a private Inurnment at MT Zion Cemetery at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday at the funeral home from 6 P.M. until 7 P.M.
