Beulah Mae Defoe, 91, of Portsmouth, Ohio, went to be with her Lord, Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born in Greenup Co., Kentucky , a daughter of the late Fredrick Vansickle and Ethel Fetters Vansickle.
She was a member of the Siloam Missionary Baptist Church, a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a great great grandmother.
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Defoe, two daughters, Nancy Lore and Connie Mock and one son, Baby Boy Defoe, three brothers, Donald, Bulas and Burt Vansickle, one sister, Alline Howell.
Surviving are four sons, Glen "Barbara" Defoe of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Paul "Sandy" Defoe of Prattville, Alabama and Bill Defoe of South Webster, Ohio, Mike "Katie" Defoe of West Portsmouth, Ohio, one daughter, Paulita "Dave" Book of Sciotoville, Ohio, four brothers, William Vansickle of South Shore, KY., Paul Vansickle of Conroe, Texas, John Vansickle of Martin, Tenn. And Melvin Vansickle of Midway, Ohio, thirty eight grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Pastor Gary Howell, officiating. Burial will follow in Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, KY. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 11 A.M. till the Funeral hour at 2P.M. on Tuesday.
