Betty L. Messer, 83, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away, Jan. 20, 2021 at her resident surrounded by her family. She was born in Kehoe, Kentucky, March 12, 1937, a daughter of the late Leonard Prise and Otilee Horsley Prise. Betty was a homemaker and a mother, also a member of the South Shore First Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Otho Messer, grandson, Rocky Joe Messer, two brothers, Lewis Price and Lester Prise.

Surviving are one son, Randy (Cheryl) Messer of Worthington, KY, three daughters, Kathy (Jose) Valencia of Tehachapi, CA, Anita (Skip) Murray of South Shore, KY, Stephanie (Jeremiah) Miller of Ronceverte, WV, two brothers, Ed Prise, Curtis Prise, two sisters, Sharon Kay Stevens and Mary Prise, seven grandchildren, Corey Messer, Jason Messer, Cody Murray, Kyle Murray, Kayla Coleman, Chandler Reed and Chloe Reed, thirteen great-grandchildren, aunt, Inez Bloomfield and her furry friend of 11 years, Benji.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan, 22, 2021 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY with Brother Russell Foster, officiating. Burial will follow in Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, KY. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Friday.
