Betty J. Morris, 79, of South Shore, Kentucky, went to be with her Lord, May 27, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Scioto County, Ohio, Sept. 9, 1935, a daughter of the late Everett Watkins and Letitia Hammond Watkins. She was a member of South Shore Church of God, Second and Robbins, South Shore, Kentucky. Surviving are her husband, Paul H. Morris to whom she married April 1, 1953, four daughters, Cherri Edens of Ranger, West Virginia, Rhonda Shepherd of Sciotoville, Ohio, Trina Crisp of West Portsmouth, Ohio, Cindie Morris Maund of South Shore, Kentucky, one son, Jeffery Morris of McDermott, Ohio, four brothers, Wayne Watkins of South Shore, Kentucky, Larry Watkins, John Watkins and James Watkins all of Portsmouth, Ohio, four sisters, Julia Potter of South Shore, Kentucky, Janet Shockley of West Portsmouth, Ohio, Katherine Bailey of Columbus, Ohio and Marsha Floyd of South Shore, Kentucky, twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Preceded in death by three grandsons, Uriah Brown and Justin Cyrus and Craig Fortner, one sister, Helen Brown, one brother, Louis Watkins. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Brother Robert Thompson, officiating. Burial will follow in Collier Memorial Gardens, South Portsmouth, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Friday May, 29, 2015 and from 11 a.m. till the funeral hour on Saturday.
