Anna Bostick Parker, 95, of Portsmouth, Ohio, formerly of Troy, NC, passed away June 11, 2015 in HillView Retirement Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born May 24, 1920 in Wurtland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Vinston and Laura Mae Heaberlin Bostick, in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Rev. Marion Parker, who died Aug. 22, 2007, four sisters, Pauline Bowman, Marjorie Elkins, Louise Elswick, Olive Hannah, two brothers, Lloyd Bostick and Albert Bostick.
She is survived by one brother, Wayne Bostick of South Shore, Kentucky and numerous nieces and nephews.
She supported her husband in his pastoral ministry, very active in church and community activities, worked as part-time at Allen's of Troy Dress shop in Troy, NC and held several volunteer positions at HillView Retirement Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Russell, Kentucky.
A celebration of life by her family and friends will be held Monday, June 15, 2015 at HillView Retirement Center from 9:30 a.m. with video presentation and visitation till the services starts at 10a.m., with Rev. John Gowdy and Chaplin Richard North, officiating. Burial will follow in Heaberlin Cemetery, Wurtland, Kentucky. Services under direction of the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky.
