Alberta "Bertie" Aldridge, 85, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away Feb. 10, 2018 in South Shore Nursing and Rehab Center in South Shore, Kentucky. She was born in Greenup County, Kentucky April 6, 1932, a daughter of the late Winford Payton and Cora Watkins Payton. She was a retired operator from Mitchellace in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Preceded in death by her husband, June Aldridge, July 13, 1994, one daughter, Wanda Maddix, six sisters, Lula Spears Whitt, Lucy Scott, Ethel Blevins, Louise Qaulls, Edith Clemons Bloomfield and Elizabeth Payton, one brother Albert Payton.

Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Sue Smith of Firebrick, Kentucky, Sandra "Wayne" Sartin of Augusta, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Kristy Craft of South Shore, Kentucky, Kimberly Maxie of Greenup, Kentucky, Cindy Brown of South Shore, Kentucky, Gretchen Collier of Dallas, Texas and Priscilla Smith of Portsmouth, Ohio and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Pastor Joe Carr, officiating. Burial will follow in Loper Cemetery, South Shore, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 till 8 P.M. on Tuesday, Feb 13, 2018 and from 11 A.M. till the Funeral hour on Wednesday.
