Ailene Smith, 89, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away Dec. 23, 2016 at the South Shore Nursing and Rehab Center in South Shore, Kentucky. She was born in Friendship, Ohio, Jan 15, 1927, a daughter of the late Charles H. Boggs and Stella Stone Boggs. Ailene was a member of South Shore Nazarene Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Harry Smith, Sept. 5, 2002, one son Jeff Smith, two brothers, Don Boggs, Eugene Boggs, two sisters, Jewel Timberlake and Elberta Copas. Surviving are one son, Harry (Dixie) Smith of Auburn Hills, Michigan, two daughters. Donna Smith and Brenda Smith both of South Shore, Kentucky. Also surviving is a daughter in law Carlena Smith of South Shore, Kentucky, two grandchildren, Sabrina (David) Koester and Tabby (Todd) Selvage, one great-grandchild, Jonah Koester, a special friend, David Hunt of Lloyd, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. David Robirds, officiating. Burial will follow in MT. Zion Cemetery, South Shore, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 till 8 P.M. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 and from 11 A.M. till the funeral hour on Wednesday.
