Vanzil Clinton Royster, 82, of Quincy, Kentucky, passed away Aug. 10, 2017 in Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Brushart , Kentucky, Sept. 14, 1934, a son of the late Arthur Royster and Bertha Horsley Royster. He was a retired Carman Welder for CSX Railroad and of the Christian Faith.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Mary C. Moore, 2004, step daughter, Freda Terry, brothers, Elvie Royster, Hobart Royster, Shirl Royster, sisters, Thelma Rhoden, Alma McKenzie, Matilda Martin and Shelby Pope.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Thurman Royster to whom he married, Dec. 3, 2010, four sons, Vanzil “Clinton” and Cindy Royster of Manassas, VA, Arthur “Nick” and Ginger Royster of South Shore, Kentucky, Mark and Kathy Royster of South Shore, Kentucky, Terry and Marcella Royster of South Shore, Kentucky, step son, Ronald W. Fraley of Quincy, Kentucky, step daughters, Shirley Stewart of South Webster, Ohio and Loma Watts of Cumming, Georgia, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Monday, Aug. 14, 2017 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Gary Vaughn, officiating. Burial will follow in Grizzle Cemetery, Garrison, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 till 8 P.M. on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017 and from noon till the Funeral hour on Monday.
