Raymond Wayne Felty

Raymond Wayne Felty, born June 6, 1946, age 77, of South Portsmouth, KY, died on 4/13/2024 after a brief illness. Raymond was born in Firebrick, KY to Wayne Felty and Estelle Thompson Felty. 

Raymond graduated from Lewis County High School before serving in the U.S. Navy where he served during the Vietnam era on the USS Guam. Raymond retired from the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union, Local 440 out of Indianapolis, IN. Raymond was an accomplished farmer, member of the Masons, talented woodworker & metalworker, who loved spending time with friends, family, and his long-time girlfriend Carolyn Buckler, of South Portsmouth, KY.  

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Judy Ann Felty Potter. 

Raymond is survived by his sister Cheryl Kay Gilton (Jay Gilton) and nephew Tracy Gilton (of La Vale, MD); son Thomas Wayne Felty (Vanessa Felty) of Fort Worth, TX; son Jason Ray Felty of Firebrick, KY, and three grandsons:  Kyle Thomas Felty (Lidia Barrera Vecino) of Fort Worth, TX; Brett Robert Felty of Fort Worth, TX; and Ethan Felty of West Portsmouth, OH;  and great-granddaughter Violet Olivia Felty of West Portsmouth, OH.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M.  Saturday, April 20 2024 at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Donny McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow at Greene Cemetery in St. Paul, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
